Humboldt Shipmanagement was founded back in 1990. It was the continuation of more than 35 years of previous know-how on ship owning activities, and in managing the fleet of a company founded earlier by Captain Albert von Appen. Nowadays Humbolt's fleet is composed of crude oil and clean products Tankers, Chemical Tankers, Gas Tankers, Container Ships, General Cargo Vessels, Bulkcarriers, and Salvage and Port Tugboats. Humboldt's actual operations are worldwide, with special focus in South America. Acromex supervised the overhaul of their main engine MaK 6CM43 on their vessel "Cordillera" . |
Barrick Chile Generacion
Barrick Chile Generación is a subsidiary of the Canadian mining company Barrick Gold Corp, world leader in the production of gold. The company has two power generation initiatives: the Punta Colorada Wind Farm and Power Plant, both located in the town of Punta Colorada, La Higuera commune, Coquimbo Region. Both are connected to the Central Interconnected System (SIC). At the Punta Colorada wind farm, the company operates ten wind turbines with a maximum total power of 20 MW (2 MW each). The Punta Colorada power plant operates in the same sector and provides backup electricity to the SIC. The power station works with Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) as fuel with a Wartsila 18V46 and generates 17 MW of power. Acromex was selected to overhaul their RICE Wartsila 18V46 and also service their wind farm. |
Compania Minera Maricunga
Compañia Minera Maricunga S.A., a subsidiary of Canadian miner Kinross Gold Corporation, engages in the operation of the Maricunga gold mine, located in Chile's northern Atacama region (III). For their mining operations they run a power plant at 4.800 m.a.s.l. with 4 Wartsila Nohab 16V25 gensets on diesel fuel.

EnorChile delivers energy to the Chilean electrical grid and operates power generation plants on site and remotely. EnorChile S.A. aims at supplying electricity to mining and industrial companies through efficient, innovative and sustainable technologies including wind and solar power. EnorChile provides energy to free customers in Chile's central and northern interconnected systems (SIC and SING), operates, controls and manages power plants; and owns two generation stations in the city of Iquique, one in Antofagasta, and two in Rancagua.
In April 2017, ACROMEX was awarded by Enor Chile for a scheduled maintenance contract and repair services for 3 years for the 44 MW Ujina Generation Plant, located at 4,400 m.s.m.m., of the Mining Company Dona Ines de Collahuasi and operated by EnorChile S.A. The contract considers the scheduled maintenance of the entire plant that has 4 x Caterpillar Generators Model 12CM43C of 10.8 MW (ISO) and 2 x Generators Caterpillar Model 16CM43C of 13.9 MW (ISO) as well as their auxiliary equipment. Presently, Acromex is EnorChile's strategic partner in their international business development program in search for business and market expansion in Latin America. |
